That's a lot of bacon

This pig was shot in Montgomery Alabama, the same place that still holds the world record Largemouth bass, a little weird don't you think.
Sorry it was Montgomery Lake, not Montgomery County that the bass was caught

1. Thats incredible,I knew they got big but thats just incredible. How did that thing get that big,if the deer down there are drinking out of the same waterhole we may have a new world record soon

2. WOW! I have never seen an actual picture of this thing until now. No wonder it took eight shots to kill it.

3. Wow great story Eric , I wouldnt know what to think if I saw that in the woods!!!

Here is the biggest I have seen in Florida, that Alabama hog has this one beat http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/020605/spo_17894280.shtml

Not to change the subject Eric but
The world record bass was caught near Jacksonville, Georgia on June 2, 1932 by George Perry. It weighed 22 pounds 4 ounces

4. BACON!!!!!!!!!!!
i have seen grizzlies and moose that big but i would never have thought a pig could get to those dimensions. good thing he has the pics because it would get the sure, sure, sure answer from everyone he told. amazing is all that comes to mind. thanks for posting that.

5. Yes sir, those bad boys get BIG. I actually saw a stuffed wild boar head in Mexico that I couldn't put both arms around the neck. I was told it had weighted 750 kilos. If my kilo-to-pounds converter is correct, that is 1,650 lbs. It was monstrous and had four tusks nearly a foot long each, but they were broken. So I'm waiting for someone to shoot a feral hog weighting in at a solid ton. Now I use a .458 Winchester magnum when I hunt hogs.

6. You know, I've been charged by a 100 lb feral pig that's been shot and it remains one of my most terrifying moments. Lucky my hunting partner dropped him about 20 feet away.

I imagine it took brass ones to chase that monster through the woods wounded, when he could turn and charge at any second. He could kill you in a second, crush you or send you flying with a broken spine. If you have ever been near a really mad bull, that's kinda what I imagine. That kid will be famous his whole life.

7. Yeah It made the cover of the NY Daily News on Saturday! ( A first for a hunting story I bet).
The damn thing is bigger than a Mini Cooper. What other kind of Mutant Creatures are there in Alabama other than Dale Junior fans & monster Hogs?

Note to self. Don't drink the water in Alabama. Must be Something in it? Not bad for a 11 yr old kid with a hand gun. That would make for a hell of a BBQ. You could feed a whole small town on that thing!

8. thats small compared to the pigs on my place in texas. we got one the other day with our dogs that was a little over 600lbs.
