largemouth bass? i want to keep some largemouth bass in my tank. i need to know what kind of ph, temp., food, tank setup, and any other info. what kind of filter? i have a 55 gallon tank, i'm only going to keep the bass for a little while then i'll get new ones.

What is the best way to catch a largemouth bass? We have a huge largemouth bass in our pond and we want to get him out because he is eating all the fish.

What is the best bait for Largemouth Bass? We are going camping this weekend, and for the first time we will be trying for largemouth bass. What is the best bait to catch them with? Is it much harder then going for channel cat? I haven't fished for a couple of years, but the last time I did was in the Rockies fly fishing and I caught a nice trout. Why is there a size limit on largemouth bass when they don't taste good legal size? It makes no sense that they have a size limit (min. 14") to keep a largemouth bass. They don't taste good when they're over 10 inches or so. Smaller ones do taste good, but they're not legal to keep. (I had to keep one last year because it swallowed the hook and would die anyway). But perch and crappies grow big too, and there's no size limit on those. And they taste good any size, better than bass of any size.

Does anyone know anything about keeping a largemouth bass in an aquarium at home? I've got an aquarium at home that I'd like to set up a habitat for a largemouth bass. Has anyone done this before and if so do you have any suggestions for me?

Can I ween a largemouth bass to eat pond pellet food.? I have a 2 inch largemouth bass in a 240 gallon. I could barly afford a large enough habitat for him, so I dont want to be shelling out $200 a year to be feeding him all feeders. I dont want to breed livebearers for food for him. Could I slowly ween him off feeders until he only eats maybe one a day, a worm a day, and the rest pellet food. Would this be ok? Could I even do it?

Hi I need help catching largemouth bass specifically during the daytime hours during the summer!? I fish in a small resevoir that is at most 6 feet deep with lots of lilly pads and downed trees to offer cover. What should I use to catch largemouth bass in my pond? My pond is about 1 acre and a murkey brown colored water. It has a little structure and half of it is almost composed of weeds and algae. I catch bass there often, but I am very inconsistent. I have been using a spinner but have been staying out of the weedy areas because weeds always get caught on it. Why is it the bigger largemouth bass seem to get spooked when a lure hits the water in early spring? I am fishing in small ponds in Maryland, and I can see quite a few larger bass, but the instant a lure hits the water, they scatter.
